Employment opportunity: Program Coordinator

From Sacrifice to Sanctuary

This charming young kid came to us from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. Police officers had pulled over a car for speeding, and in the car was a bag with this little guy inside. The people were planning on using him for a ritual sacrifice. This is actually not currently illegal because farmed animals are considered property and are excluded from many anti-cruelty laws, and animal sacrifice is defended on religious freedom grounds. Luckily for this little guy and for us, the officers were able to seize him on a technicality and bring him to safety.

We have been calling him little Prince, but he is in need of a loving sponsor to help with his special food and medical needs. Please click here to sponsor “Prince”.
