TINA VOLPE, FAST FOOD CRAZE

As a child raised in a horsy suburb of Los Angeles, Lake View Terrace, California, Tina Volpe (pictured at left with her friend, Beauty, a Rhode Island Red) witnessed the inevitable slaughter of many farm animals who were her friends. Although these creatures were used as food for the family, the pain they suffered left a lifetime effect on Volpe.

Due to the love and friendship she developed with these creatures, Volpe is a 32-year practicing vegetarian and has conducted a five-year study of the farm industry. Volpe realized both the negative affects of this industry and its procedures on animals as well as the involvement of fast food giants in the abuse, due to the high demands. Volpe wrote The Fast Food Craze in an effort to help the advocacy groups further inform the public about needless and endless suffering of our fellow creatures.

Tina Volpe is a health researcher, 32 year vegetarian, author, speaker, educator, vegetarian consultant, television host, radio host and published columnist. Also, she is a member of, and has made contributions to, the many organizations that promote animal rights. She lives in Northern Arizona.
