COMPASSION INTO ACTION FESTIVAL

Date: Saturday, May 12, 12pm to 6pm

More than 200 guests attended Animal Acre’s Compassion into Action Festival.

Our festival began for visitors with farm and shelter tours, followed by special guest presentations by noted national speakers, delicious veggie food booths, musical entertainment, cruelty-free exhibitors and, of course, plenty of attention and much love from our sanctuary critters!

Thanks to our generous compassionate corporation sponsors, visitors enjoyed shopping at cruelty-free booths (Humanitaire and Follow Your Heart) while enjoying the sounds of Dana & The Polecats in the beautiful courtyard. Veggie lunch and dessert delights were provided by Vinh Loi Tofu, The Green Temple, Truly Vegan, One World, Native Foods, Lightlife, Mani’s Bakery, Leda’s Bakeshop and Tazo Tea. Guests also enjoyed grilled veggie tacos, veggie burgers, and yummy vegan cherry cheezecake (ingredients compliments of Tofutti). Ice cold India Pale Ale and Czech Style Pilsner from Lagunitas was served at the ‘cowtail party’ drink bar.

Later in the afternoon, visitors gathered in the gazebo for special guest presentations by noted movement speakers Paul Shapiro (Director of the Factory Farming Campaign, HSUS), Bruce Friedrich (Vice President, International Grassroots Campaign, PETA), Karen Dawn (DawnWatch.com) and Bobby Rock (Author and Vegan Health Expert). The presentation concluded with Frank Allen (Animal Acre’s Investigations & Farm Manager), who encouraged participants to support Animal Acre’s rescue and protection efforts.

Many special thanks to our visitors, speakers, sponsors and wonderful volunteers who helped make our Compassion into Action Festival a success. THANK MOO!!!
