Animal Acres to Air on PBS This Month!

If you missed seeing Animal Acres and our farmed animal friends with Huell Howser, you'll have another chance! Huell's popular public television series, "Visiting with Huell Howser", will air again on KCET (Los Angeles' public television station) on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m.) Huell is well known for his visiting and "California Gold" television series, and his first visit to a sanctuary was Animal Acres! During the interview, Huell was clearly touched by our farmed animal friends - and after meeting two rescued veal calves, Sonny and Casanova, he wanted to provide a loving forever home for rescued farmed animals! Huell conducted inspiring and enlightening interviews with Actress Shelley Morrison and Animal Acres founder, Lorri Houston, and elicited memorable moments from the animals themselves. Both Shelley and Lorri spoke of the cruelties farmed animals endure to produce meat, milk, and eggs, and Shelley started the show by encouraging everyone to go vegetarian. The show undoubtedly opened hearts and minds, and it's a great opportunity to have your friends and family tune in to learn that farmed animals have feelings, too. Be sure to check your local KCET listing information (each local cable channel has their own channel numbers for KCET) and tune in for this special segment on Animal Acres. Our heartfelt thanks to Shelley Morrison for making this show possible, and our great appreciation to Huell Howser for his compassion for all animals, too!
