Holiday Party for the Sanctuary Animals
(and Goodbye Party for Sweet Cowboy!)
Saturday, December 11th Noon to 3:00 pm

Join us as to celebrate Christmas for cows, Hanukah for hens, and Winter Solstice for the whole sanctuary! Spend a holiday afternoon with your farmed animal friends at Animal Acres, as we gather to wish each other a joyful and peaceful holiday season and happy new year, and wish a fond farewell to Little Cowboy who has found a loving forever home. The sanctuary critters will be treating YOU to holiday cookies, toasty beverages and a special sanctuary holiday tour --- and if you would like to give the animals a present, please consider a gift card to Home Depot to help us build fenced pastures and a new housing barn for the pigs! (Click here if you would like to purchase a Home Depot gift card online.) Our holiday party is also a great time to purchase gift adoption sponsorships, vegan cookbooks, Animal Acres memberships, and other gifts for the friends and family on your holiday shopping list! The Holiday Party is FREE and open to ALL! RSVPs are appreciated - please email your RSVP to: info@animalacres.org

The Best Gift...a Farmed Animal Adoption

Please consider being "Santa" to our farmed animal friends this holiday season. Like most kids, the sanctuary animals have a long list, but what they need most is a loving sponsor to provide them nourishing food, straw-filled beds, and veterinary care. Several of our pigs, chickens, goats, and other sanctuary animals need a sponsor - your participation in our Adopt-a-Farmed Animal Project keeps our doors open for hundreds of suffering farmed animals. An adoption sponsorship is also a meaning gift for friends and family. Adoption sponsors receive a beautiful photograph of their adopted animal, adoption story, one year Animal Acres membership (with FREE tours and other membership benefits, and holiday card from you. Please click here to give the gift of life.

Vegan Sanctuary Blog Feature

Vegan Sanctuary blogger Philip Steir believes there is a vegan future and one of the reasons he knows this is because he met her at Animal Acres! Please meet the wonderful young activist Marley Goldman this month on vegansanctuary.blogspot.com along with other inspiring interviews, articles, and resources on being a living sanctuary by living vegan.

Activist of the Month - Sarah Cooper

We were so impressed with our October Intern, we hired her! We were thrilled when Sarah joined us as live-in intern for a month, and even happier when she accepted our invitation to join the Animal Acres staff. Sarah brings a smile, enthusiasm, and dedication to work every day, and she always has a pitch-in attitude and willingness to work in any department - from fundraising and conducting educational tours, to helping care for our farmed animal friends. We are honored to recognize Sarah Cooper as our "Activist of the Month" for her continuing contribution to Animal Acres rescue, education, and advocacy efforts. Thank you Sarah!
