Cow Babies Need You!

Peanut, Cocoa, and Oreo were born on dairy farms – and because they are male calves and could not be used for dairy production, they were torn away from their mothers the day they were born. While their mothers cried in despair, the frightened newborn calves were dragged onto a truck to be sold for veal or beef production. But Peanut, Cocoa, and Oreo were sickly and weak, and when no one bid on the calves, they were considered “useless” and left at the stockyard to die from neglect, or be thrown alive onto a rendering truck. Our humane investigators regularly monitor stockyards to enforce California’s anti-cruelty laws, and when possible, rescue abandoned and injured farmed animals. Though we can never replace their mothers, each calf needs a loving adoption sponsor to help us provide them needed veterinary care, straw-filled barns, and lots of daily bottles! Please click here to sponsor one (or all!) of these sweet baby boys today, and keep our doors open for many more suffering farmed animals in need of rescue, sanctuary, and hope.
