DAILY ANIMAL CAREGIVERS NEEDED
The sanctuary critters need to be fed, watered and have their barns cleaned 7 days a week and they need YOU to help care for them. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK TO HELP CLEAN BARNS. Volunteers helping with daily animal care need to arrive between the hours of 9 to 11:00 a.m. and commit to a minimum of three hours. No appointment is necessary — just show up with your boots and gloves (we'll supply the pitchforks!). Volunteering is open for ages 12 and over (ages 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Volunteers are welcome to bring a packed vegan lunch and have a picnic in our beautiful courtyard with our turkey and chicken friends! Click here for directions.

"Sanctuary 101"
This special volunteer program offers individuals an opportunity to live and work at the sanctuary and be a part of an effective rescue, education and advocacy organization for farmed animals. Animal Acres relies of dedicated live-in volunteers with a "pitch in" attitude and willingness to do what's needed to get the job done! Tasks can vary from day to day, or you may be assigned to one specific task for the week. The priority job is caring for the sanctuary animals (barn cleaning, feeding & watering, assisting with health care), but volunteers may also help with conducting tours, special events, cruelty investigations and administrative tasks. "Sanctuary 101" is open to all individuals 18 and over. Participants volunteer for a 40-hour, 5-day week of assigned tasks (cleaning barns, barn maintenance, administrative jobs, conducting tours) and are welcome to participate in other activities on non-scheduled days. Participants are required to sign up for a one-month stay, and are provided dormitory-style housing on the sanctuary premises. Upon acceptance into the program, participants are required to pay a $150.00 deposit that is refundable upon completion of the program. "Sanctuary 101" is limited to two live-in volunteers per month, so please contact us in advance to guarantee your participation in this exciting program.
PLEASE PRINT OUT AND FAX A COMPLETED "SANCTUARY 101" APPLICATION TO 661-269-0194 OR MAIL TO ANIMAL ACRES, 5200 ESCONDIDO CANYON ROAD, ACTON, CA 93510.
